"Honeybody" by Kishi Bashi
Despite the events going on in Europe and around the world, life has been good for me recently and I hope for you!
‘My’ Godson turned six recently. And it continues to amaze me how much he continues to learn about the world and get SO interested in all the things in it.
For instance, he’s taking music lessons and his teacher instructed him to listen to a song day and write a sentence about what he thinks about it.
Which his parents and I joked is almost exactly what I did for a year with Shuffle Synchronicities LOL.
His dad said they listened to a Dylan song one day and he said something like “gorgeous, perfect; except for the voice.” Haha, that’s kind of how I felt about Dylan when I was young too.
His parents have mentioned the Shuffle to him.
And he asked to Shuffle a song on Thursday…
And they had him do it…
And he got:
“Honeybody” by Kishi Bashi
His response was reported to be:
“I like everything about this song!”
And why not?
It’s super fun.
And what else?
The lyrics seem to be about him and children in a way!
Or at least about someone the singer loves to play children’s games with LOL.

Six-sided, dodecahedron, it doesn't matter
While the later verses then turn a bit mature, I do think the spirits trust us to not read the Shuffles so literally, and instead to read them imaginatively.
And with that in mind, wouldn’t we all call the children in our lives Honeybodys?!
In other news, I finished the SubstackGo program…and it was fine!
One thing I learned was to try to incorporate more community comments.
So with that in mind, we’ll be adding a button for people to write about Shuffle Synchronicities they may have noticed in their own life recently.

Oh, I had a back and forth on Instagram with art critic Jerry Saltz!

I had just come back from the Lakers versus Warriors game yesterday when I noticed this, which I went to with ‘my’ Godson, his dad, and another friend.
Which was SO fun!
LeBron put on a show. 56 points. Tied for the most in a game this season in the NBA and his third-highest total in his career as the soon-to-be second-most points-scored-player in history… and the Lakers won …
…And, most importantly, the Godson seemed to be having one of the best times of his life!!!
I wrote back to Jerry when I got home high on life as well, after shuffling and getting this song:
“Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” by The Temptations
Which I thought was cool!
Jerry hasn’t responded to it yet tho, LOL.
Maybe because it was too earnest or flattering?
Dunno!
We’ll see if he still does!
The Godson’s mom did joke about the reply back to Jerry when I texted it to them:
She then said that Will Ferrell in Elf is sometimes how she describes her son.
I joked something like, that’s sometimes how I can be too tho lol!
And she joked back I guess this is why he loves you so much :)
