“Good Times” by Love
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
In the morning I know that you're gonna have a good time!
You're gonna have a good time!
No more bad times
Only good times
Last night I went over to a friend’s house who is a cocktail maker.
As she mixed negronis, we worked on my dating app profile.
Taking some new photos, answering some question prompts with less of my recent seriousness and more of my ‘ol “good times” Dave.
Then spent the night drinking, listening to music, and swiping on people.
Dating apps are a lot more fun with a friend and a lot of drinks.
We ended up talking to a few women.
We're gonna dance some more
So stay out on the floor
We're gonna dance some more in a moment
I know that you're gonna have a good time
You're gonna have a good time!
No more bad times, give me the good times
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright in the morning
I know that you're gonna have a good time!
You're gonna have a good time!
Good times, good times...
As Bobby Moore and the Rhythm Aces played “Searching For My Love”,
I connected with one in particular.
She had nice glasses and even nicer eyes underneath them.
A writer, too.
Who I’m happy to report I am going on a date with on Saturday.
I woke up today in the light of day and am not mad at the intoxicated choice.
Then again if you do a close reading of “Searching For My Love”.
Searchin', searchin' for my baby, yes I am
Searchin', searchin' for my baby, yes I am
Searchin', searchin' for my baby
I'm searchin', searchin' for my love
I'm searchin' for the one I adore
If I find her you know I will
I'll never, never let her go no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
I'll never, never let her go, now, baby
I love you, I need you
I need you by my side
For my love, for my true love
I'll never, never never hide, now, baby, no, no, no, no
No, no, no, no
I'll never, never never hide, no no
I wonder I wonder why
You had to leave me this way
I'm sorry, darling that I made you cry
Forgive me, love, for the things I've done to you
Come along, come along
Come along, give me one more try
Searchin', baby
I'm searchin', searchin' for my love
I'm searchin' for the one I adore
And if I find her
I'll never, never let her go, no no
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
I'll never, never let her go
You see that it’s about searching for love but also lamenting the person who “had to leave me this way.” Bobby wants to be “forgiven” and asks for “one more try.”
So there’s that ;)
Okay, that’s the eighty-first Shuffle Synchronicities.
