I woke up this morning with gratitude, joy, and pride to find that Laura Scarpati posted the episode we did together for her new The Woo Report podcast!
Laura Scarpati has had a long career in Hollywood.
Where she was an Emmy-winning producer of TV.
Including for The Ellen Show.
Now she does a brilliant job in her new endeavor, after being run over by a car while pregnant but having a spiritual awakening, to explore her journey and others’, which includes a miraculously healthy child and a strong physical and mental recovery…
She asks pro questions and holds space for and then edits well to make great answers.
I for one know I find it difficult to explain what this practice I do here is sometimes.
But Laura’s expertise as a producer, host, and editor helps show it so well!
She’s also the wife of one of my oldest and best friends :)
So take a listen!
Here’s some info from the show notes!
The Woo Report Ep 4: Coincidences & Synchronicities with Dave Cowen
Have you experienced a coincidence? A synchronicity? Carl Jung believed that these events were not just random occurrences, but rather manifestations of a deeper order in the universe. Meaning, there are signs and guidance all around us, if we pay attention. Today’s guest, Dave Cowen is an expert in this space. He has spent years practicing a method that uncovers the spirit in our algorithms, a practice that's accessible to all of us. His substack, Shuffle Synchronicities links the songs you hear…to the symphony of your life. It is so fun and fascinating…even though, the song I shuffle during this episode scared the absolute sh*t out of me. But it’s vulnerable o’clock over here. We are just baring it all in the name of connection, reflection and curiosity. And you know what I’m gonna say next, but it is absolutely NO coincidence you are here.
Dave Cowen turns the religious into humor, finds the spirit in the algorithm, and makes serious comics fun. His popular series of comedy Haggadahs for the Jewish holiday of Passover have been featured in The New York Times and include parodies of Trump, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Kanye West, and a new one this spring on The Office. He produces a NPR-celebrated Substack, Shuffle Synchronicities, where readers learn how meaningful music coincidences can help guide our lives. And his debut graphic novel, 11 years in the making, SHOULD WE BUY A GUN?, is available now.
Shuffle Synchronicities Spotify Playlist: Ask the universe a question, then shuffle this playlist of 10,000 songs. Pay attention to the song title, artist, lyrics, and the overall vibe. Use your intuition to find connections between the music and your life, allowing the message to guide you toward meaning or insights.
